Had a good time presenting as guest lecturer at Babson College this week on best practices and emerging trends in omnichannel supply chain. Very engaging class and lively discussion. Key topics included:

– The importance of fulfillment as a source of strategic differentiation

– The need for segmented customer promise to define a winning fulfillment solution  (networks, flows, assets)

– Conversely, the need for rapid supply chain experimentation (i.e. supply chain cost and service trade-offs should) to inform business strategy

– Emerging structural trends that will shape tomorrow’s omnichannel supply chain
